Lois Austin had a great atypical girl-next-door look which really worked
well for her in the 1950s New York modeling scene. Many of the other
models during the 1950s had more of a showgirl or burlesque look which
wasn't very appealing. If you look closely at her face and study her
expressions, you can really see how innocent she really looks. The last
scan is very interesting. It shows Lois Austin having a conversation
with one of the photographers backstage. On the wall behind them are two
8x10" photographs of
Bettie Page
(possibly three)! Scan sizes average about 5.31M.
