Diane Webber was born Marguerite Diane Empey on Jul. 27 1932 to Marguerite
(née Andrus) and screen writer Arthur Guy Empey in Los Angeles CA. She
formally trained as a ballet dancer and worked as a chorus girl. Diane
was a centerfold for PlayBoy twice; once in May 1955 then Feb. 1956. The
1956 layout was photographed by The great Russ Meyer.
She married Joe Webber in 1961.
She was very much interested in Naturism and was featured in many nudist
magazines. Lucky for us, she was one of the first high profile modern
Naturists and loved posing in front of the camera. Diane Webber was
also photographed by Bunny Yeager, possibly by Andre De Dienes and
extensively by Erwin (or Edward) Lange. She was a photographed at the
Spider Pool.
Diane Webber passed away on Aug. 19 2008 in Los Angeles (unsubstantiated).
I was sorry to hear about her passing and consider her one of the greatest
figure models of all time.
